The project LIFE+ NATURE LIFE07 NAT/GR/000286 entitled “Restoration of Pinus nigra forests on Mount Parnonas (GR2520006) through a structured approach” is implemented by the Goulandris Natural History Museum/Greek Biotope - Wetland Centre in cooperation with the Region of Peloponnese, the region of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace and the Management Body of Mount Parnonas and Moustos Wetland. The project started in January 2009 and is expected to be completed in June 2013. The project budget amounts to EUR 3,035,791.00, of which EUR 2,270,468.09 (74.79%) is an EU funding. The project is co-funded by the General Directorate for the Development and Protection of Forests and Natural Environment - Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Climate Change.
